Abajo Haven Video

"I really want to thank you so much for the wonderful stay we had at Abajo Rest Haven. Being away from fancy wide screen TV's and all the other modern accouterments, but nestled in a secluded canyon surrounded by mountains was a real treat. The evening there was a light shower followed by bunny rabbits, hummingbirds, blue birds, wild turkeys, kestrel and deer parading in the meadow with a big rainbow overhead! I felt like I was in a Disneyland movie. In my opinion, Abajo Rest Haven Cabins are THE place to stay in Blanding."

A vehicle tour (your vehicle) that is an all day tour, so bring your lunch. A guide to these very remote sites is necessary.  Be prepared to see at least 25 different Ancestral Puebloan sites while you tour this remote canyon, which includes large panels of rock art and dwellings.  This canyon was a main route for the Native American and you will see rock art from the Basketmaker period (500 A.D.) to the Ute Indians (1700 and 1800's). There is also evidence of the Spaniards in this canyon.
