The Abajo mountains are in Abajo Haven Guest Cabins backyard.

With peaks over 11,000 feet high and good natural surface roads with a lake to fish in, the Abajo mountains make the perfect summertime get away. Wildlife, hiking trails and mountain bike trails in a beautiful alpine setting is a good escape from the desert heat. The road from the cabins goes up and over the Abajo mountains to the town of Monticello Utah on the other side. The drive over the mountain to Monticello takes an hour and a half and gives you spectacular views of the Four Corners region around each turn. The fall colors with Aspen, Maple, Oak and Pine trees is a sight you’ll never forget. The Abajo mountains are a pristine mountain area with a lot of outdoor recreation for you to enjoy.
